ROADMAP

THOUGH THE GAME IS STILL IN DEVELOPMENT AND THINGS WILL BREAK FROM TIME TO TIME, IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT WE FIX THINGS AS THEY ARE REPORTED TO US. MORE IMPORTANTLY, CRASH BUGS ARE HARD TO FIND AND FIX. WHICH IS WHY WE IMPLEMENTED (Build 00.09.05.04 | 15-08-04) A BUG TRACKING SOLUTION (SEE KB70). PLEASE SEND THOSE IN TO US. YOU DON’T NEED TO ENTER ANY PERSONAL DETAILS. JUST A SHORT DESCRIPTION OF WHAT YOU WERE DOING WHEN THE CRASH OCCURRED. DOING SO MAKES IT EASIER FOR US TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE CRASH DUMP AND TRACE THE ORIGINS OF THE CRASH SO WE CAN FIX IT. IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING!

NOTES

ISSUECOMMENT
Optimizations, scene cleanup and fixes e.g. geometry clipping, seams in buildings, floating objects, objects missing collision mesh etcThis is on-going. As for optimizations, upon release we expect to achieve the highest performance metric possible for the game’s system requirements.
Scenes in deployment screen sometimes listed as unavailable. Also unable to connect to some scenes.A scene will show as off-line if it fails to connect to the server cluster. If a scene is offline, attempting to connect to or launch a craft into it, will fail. For example, if Lyrius space scene is down, you won’t be able to launch a fighter from Arkangel or Starguard, as they are both located in the Lyrius space region. All the game’s 13 scenes are designed to run independently, and have a fail-safe restart mode. This means that if a scene (e.g. Heatwave planetary starbase) goes down, all clients in that scene will be disconnected, and will have to redeploy at another scene until Heatwave resets and restarts.
Issues passengers joining an air/space craft at a supply platformRead the game docs or this FAQ topic for more info on how this actually works.
What happened to the ATS shuttles? We disabled the AI controlled Automated Transport System in 00.09.06.07 until we can revise their flight path method so they stop getting stuck at waypoints.
What happened to the player controlled ground vehicles? They were implemented since back in 2011 but remain locked until they are upgraded to use the updated networking and physics modules completed in the air/space craft updates. Those updates have also now been implemented in the ground defense units unlocked in 00.09.07.16.

BUG REPORTS

REPORTFIXED

GAME ASSETS/SCENES

01Seams in some areas in Starguard and Vanguard geometry (collision mesh); allowing view into space
02As a result of the new character models, the pilot hand in the Aurora 3D test cockpit is misaligned
03Heatwave guard towers have low ceiling and doors that are too small for the player to enter without crouching
04Issue with Solar Plant’s collision mesh

CLIENT/SERVER

01Various issues with the fps controller (camera, movement, physics). Subject to various upcoming tweaks so that it feels “right”
02First person weapon view character animation needs adjustments. e.g. the pov incorrectly looks down on the weapon
03In windowed mode, using ALT+TAB to switch away from the game and back will sometimes cause movement keys to lose context
04With a bad client connection, using a docking bay in space will sometimes only transfer one player to the station
